DID YOU KNOW THAT IN 1968 SANTA EULALIA LAUNCHED ITS FIRST READY-TO-WEAR COLLECTION?

Jorge Olesti served as creative director, while Pere Formosa remained in charge of haute couture. In those years, the brand was one of many houses that undertook the transition to ready-to-wear, although it maintained haute couture for almost three more decades.

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE LOGO ON THE CURRENT FAÇADE, IN ART DECO STYLE, DATES BACK TO THE LATE 1920s?

The logo located on the façade of our store at 93 Paseo de Gracia – as well as on the corner with Pasaje de la Concepción – is in the Art Déco style and appeared on the first invitation to Santa Eulalia's haute couture fashion shows. Meanwhile, the neon sign, placed above the brass doors, dates back to 1941.

Invitation from February 1941, to introduce the new premises at Paseo de Gracia 60, where the calligraphic logo can be seen, which would later be reproduced in neon at the entrance of the current store.

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE SWISS UNION CLOCKS, LOCATED BEHIND THE COUNTER AND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS, COME FROM THE STORE BEFORE ITS RENOVATION AND DATE BACK TO 1944?

It was a personal commission from Luis Sans, grandfather of the current owner, to Carlos Vendrell, then owner of Unión Suiza, the legendary watch and jewelry shop that still exists today. Punctuality was always an obsession for Luis Sans, who arranged for all the clocks in the house to be connected to each other and to a radio transmission service that provided the exact time from Switzerland.
