BESPOKE TAILORING

The various fittings

After three weeks, you'll be able to try on the basted garment for the first time. This is when the tailor checks that it fits your physique and preferences, adjusting the garment accordingly. The widths and lengths of the garment will also be checked.

The second fitting takes place a few weeks later when the garment is almost finished. This is when all the details are finalised to make sure you're completely satisfied. And if any alterations need to be made, we'll arrange another fitting to ensure it's entirely to your liking.

A unique pattern

After the first appointment, the tailor creates a unique pattern for you on cardboard that will be kept in case you want to order more garments in the future. This cardboard pattern is used to cut out the fabric. Once this has been done, the linings and interlinings must also be cut. Afterwards, our tailoring assistants begin to make up the garment in the workshop.

A suit, for example, entails over 40 hours of manual work involving several assistants. Each one specialises in a specific task, such as preparing the interlining, making pockets, adding the facings, assembling the garment, inserting the sleeves, making the buttonholes, putting on the collars, lining... A dozen assistants, each with a specific function, who devote time and effort to guarantee the quality of a unique and special garment.
