THE 5 IT BAGS BY JUAN AVELLANEDA

We designers usually say that details make the difference. That is why, for this month’s selection, I have chosen an unmissable accessory for the daily routine as, as we all know, we carry a large amount of items every day: wallets, sun glasses, mobile phones, documents, tablets or even laptops. I reckon that I carry too many things and some of them quite estrange. Bags are the perfect ally and the options are diversified.

Backpack

Backpack

This one is, no doubt, the classic one. Further than being comfortable because everything fits inside, the backpack gives us a college-esque style that reminds me of when I was a student. As you can see, I have combined the bag with a bomber jacket and burgundy trousers, key color of the new season.

Crossbody Bag

Crossbosy Bag

This tote is an iconic identifier of Fendi and I personally love it. It upgrades the classic, plain black bag and gives it a comic touch. In this look I am styling blue jeans and a checked bomber jacket. This kind of bag is the one I find more comfortable after the bag packs.

Bum bag

We also have the bum bag: a classic from the late 90 that seemed to have been forgotten but that is back stronger than ever. The one I am wearing is a Balenciaga (available in store) of an electric blue that breaks all the chromatic schemes. If you don’t have one already, the bum bag is a necessary trend that you have to include in the new season wardrobe. If not, ask Kendall Jenner or the Hadid sisters.

Tote

Although I am very techy and you will never see me without my mobile phone, I reckon I have a strong habit: I always have to check my designs and collections on papers as, if not, I have the feeling something is missing. Moreover, I love doodling and writing on top. That is why I am always carrying a bunch of papers and, what better way to carry them than in a tote bag? Totes are usually bags with two handles and a strap. This Saint Laurent one has patches, so common during the last seasons. As you can see, I have combined a wonderful jumper jacket with a black border.

Document Holder

Document Holder

When we travel we usually carry a bunch of documents with us that we don’t want to lose: ID, passports, vises, vaccination cards... That is why the best thing you can do is to acquire a document holder like this one, also by Fendi, where you can gather everything and you can find it easily.
